As we go through another cycle of Lindsay Lohan’s drama, the main question on everybody’s mind is why. What would drive someone to intentionally destroy their fame, success, and promise?
In addition to Lindsay’s addiction problems we need to search further back into her subconscious mind to find out the reasons for her very public self-destruction.
As a child we are born into a family with its own issues and pains. That child looks around and out of great love will sacrifice herself for her parents happiness. She does this in the hope that one day if her parents are happy, then she will be happy.
Unfortunately the child sometimes goes to the most painful and hardest to overcome place of “I will show you how bad, ‘bad’ can be”. This is a place of deep anger, hurt, loneliness, hope, and love. It is a place where a child will magnify the addictions, issues, and pains of the parents tenfold. In Lindsay’s case it appears she is keying off of her father’s pain.
So Lindsay will not only indulge in her father’s addictions, but magnify the behavior throughout the world. She will became famous to the point where her subconscious self-destruction mechanism will kick in and say, ‘Look at me! I will throw it all away because you are more important than my happiness.’
It is a place of deep pain and loneliness, with the sound of her inner two-year-old crying in terror for the love of her daddy. It is a place that is buried under all the behaviors, all the excuses, and all the dramas. Lindsay has two choices; continue her self-destruction in the hope that one day she will receive the love of her dysfunctional family that the little girl inside of her longs for. Unfortunately the bottom line is that choice is way too late and way too little to help Lindsay’s childhood quest to provide enough happiness for parents so that they will be healed and she will have a better life.
Lindsay’s second choice is to understand the pain and longing of the little girl inside of her; to give her inner child love and a vision of happiness. She needs to let go of the anger, hurt, and pain that is buried so deep that everyone in the world can see but her. It is a difficult path to walk, letting go of the anger and pain of the child, finding happiness not for the sake of her parents but for the sake of the little girl inside herself. It will take time and patience on Lindsay is part to discover that maybe there is a person inside of her that is worthy of happiness and is worthy of receiving and giving love.
